The price of each plot shall
not be refundable for any reason, however the owner may resell the plot at
their discretion. A recording fee of $25.00 will be collected
for any change in title or ownership of any plot after the initial
conveyance.

Regulations and
Guidelines |
|
The
following are regulations and guidelines that are hereby implemented by the
City Council of the City of Floresville and supplement the Cemetery
Ordinance of the City of Floresville passed and approved on April 22, 1982.
|
|
1. Terms of Sale/Installments:
-
The buyer shall pay a minimum of $50.00 as a
down payment in cash at the time of the sale with the remaining
installments to be paid in six (6) equal monthly installments. The
balance may be prepaid at any time without penalty. Upon payment of
the full purchase price, the City of Floresville shall execute a Warranty
Deed conveying said plot or plots of the purchaser. Should any
installment payment fail to be made when due, the City of Floresville, at
its option, may cancel and rescind the installment sales contract and
declare the contract null and void with all payments previously made being
treated and regarded as liquidated damages.

NOTE: All surface monuments
must be on ground level.

3. Curbs-Old Cemetery Section:
-
Curbing will be allowed around any lot or
lots of a height of no more or no less than 3.5 inches above the ground
and at least 3.5 inches in the ground. Curb widths must be no more
or no less than 6 inches in width. All curbing will require a good
covered layer of gravel rock with a vapor barrier between rock and soil
and an application of sterilizer or a solid concrete slab. In all
cases, the City will stake off the plot prior to any curbing work and will
be under the direction of the City Manager or designated
representative.

8. Prohibited Acts in Cemetery:
-
It is unlawful to write upon, deface or in
any manner injure any monument, marker or other structure in the City
Cemetery.
-
It is unlawful for any person other than the
owner to remove flowers or plants from any plot in the City Cemetery,
however, the City Manager, or designated person, may remove or
destroy any flowers, trees, shrubs, or other plants in the cemetery if, in
his judgment, are, or may become detrimental to the cemetery.
-
It is unlawful for any person to loiter,
loaf or commit any immoral act in the City Cemetery.
-
No grave, vault or tomb of any person buried
in the City Cemetery shall be opened except upon special written order
from the City Manager.
-
No trees, shrubs or plants shall be planted
without prior consent of the City Manager. Anyone wishing to
plant a tree of any kind must purchase an adjacent plot so as not to
damage any existing or future grave sites or headstones.
-
No trees will be planted in the new section
unless strictly authorized by the City Manager.
